Further, each client is an individual. Every person has
differences in drug use. Some are addicted to cocaine or crack, some addicted
to heroin. Still others are addicted to prescription drugs, marijuana, alcohol
or club drugs. Within these substance abuse differences lies personality
differences, medical needs, spiritual needs and a myriad of social / cultural
variances to be taken into account when choosing the very best drug rehab to
fit the person needing the help.

and recommend the addiction treatment environment, location and methodology

Selecting a detox facility can seem easy. If a bed is available then just check right in. However, matching the detox to the preferred long term drug or alcohol rehab facility that will help ensure the person will recover completely is more involved.
The philosophy of the detox facility should be aligned to whatever degree possible with that of the treatment facility that will ultimately serve as the primary addiction treatment action. As an example, a detox which prescribes medications to a patient with the intent of having them continue to take these medications indefinitely would be problematic if the drug rehab facility of choice has the goal of getting the person to be able to live successfully drug free. Of course, this scenario seems to make no sense but in real life these type of contrary treatment approaches conflict on a routine basis.
When choosing a detox you should consult with a specialist and look at the broader picture of recovery and make sure that all the pieces fit together to form one whole recovery effort. With a life at stake this is assuredly one set of decisions that need to be made correctly. Call us today and we will help you with your detox selection needs.

The 12 Step program
First there is the 12 step Recovery Model. These methods are better known as Alcoholics Anonymous, Cocaine Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. 12 Step was developed in 1934 by two Alcoholics who found a way to stay sober with these steps usually 21- 28 days. Some private facilities offer longer term Case. It has been around the longest and there was some moderate success in the beginning. When hard drugs showed up into our culture it was a natural progression to use 12 step methods on these addictions, as there was nothing else available. The method grew across the nation, as there was nothing else that was available to be used. For this simple reason 12 step is available almost anywhere. Today the success rate is approximately 5%-10% depending on the facility you choose. Private Facilities will yield a somewhat higher rate of success.
